Hello, my name is Scott Lively and I am the owner and sole proprietor of Lively Web Design. My first career began when I earned my Associates Degree of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from ITT Technical Institute in Dayton, Ohio. Afterward, I spent several years servicing and maintaining high-end analog and digital electronics, mostly in professional audio, of which one of my past jobs was Chief Technical Engineer for Reba McEntire's Starstruck Studios.
While living in Nashville I decided to update my technical skills and returned to college to earn my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. It wasn't long before I left the audio-technical world and pursued a second career in software engineering. Since then I have been doing mostly web programming using PHP and MySQL.
One of my prior positions was with DVIDS, a military media relations group funded by U.S. Third Army. After working on the DVIDS project I was employed full-time with Rock, Paper, Scissors — a media and marketing company located in Lawrenceville, Georgia specializing in marketing strategies, advertising, branding, web development, and print design. Next, I worked for SoloHealth, Inc. — an emerging leader in the self-directed healthcare industry. My main focus today is with 3SI Security Systems, the world leader in asset protection systems designed to recover stolen cash and high value assets, apprehend criminals and deter crime. See the Portfolio for some of the other projects I have worked on.
When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and children. I do my best to eat right and exercise. I enjoy reading and the best book I've read lately, besides computer programming books, is Angels & Demons by Dan Brown. Currently, my favorite magazine is "Business Week".
